MicroNeedling

Microneedling, is a invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles to help tighten and lift skin, while minimizing many common skin problems like acne scars. This device is used to create controlled micro-injuries to activate your body’s natural cellular regeneration of collagen and elastin. Microneedling is used for skin revitalization for all ages and can be used in conjunction with other treatments.

This procedure involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger. You might also hear it called collagen induction therapy.

The procedure usually takes 10-20 minutes, depending on how big the area is. Most people need 4-6 treatments to see a difference.

First, you’ll get a numbing cream smoothed onto your face so you can’t feel the needle pricks. Then the person doing the microneedling will move a pen-shaped or rolling tool with tiny needles around your face. The needles make small cuts in your skin, which causes a bit of bleeding. Your doctor may spread a cream or serum on your face after that. The goal of the procedure is to start your body’s healing process by sending collagen and elastin to patch up the tiny injuries. Collagen helps fill in and smooth out wrinkles.

You can Microneedle the face, and it can also done on other parts of the body, such as your stomach or thighs.

MicroNeedling Vampire Facial PRP

A vampire facial is a combination of microneedling and PRP. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein derived from the whole blood after it has been processed by spinning in a centrifuge to remove the red cells. The PRP has a greater concentration of growth factors than the whole blood. And growth factors are what our cells make that can help tissue heal and repair, which means it can help with all sorts of skin issues and Hair loss (also called alopecia)

PRP injections helps stimulate collagen. Which is Combined with microneedling, this treatment can result in scar reduction, correction of sun damage, and minimizing fine lines and pores. And because the PRP is coming out of your own body, there are no risk of side effects! However, patients who have blood disorders or take blood thinners should skip this type of procedure.

Just like with microneedling procedures for your face, the hair restoration process consists of a nurses using a handheld device, or pen, containing hundreds of tiny needles. They are glided across the hairline and areas affected by hair loss to create micro-punctures, or controlled injuries, to the top layer of the skin. This act by itself triggers the body’s natural healing process, and it becomes even more effective when you inject PRP (platelet rich plasma)

After the micro-punctures are made, PRP from your own blood is injected into the treated tissue to “bathe” the cells and speed up the growth process. This increases blood flow to the scalp and helps your hair grow in more quickly and effectively. The PRP is obtained from drawing a small amount of your own blood, from which the plasma is then separated to concentrate healing properties.
